My first blog post

Welcome everyone to my blog and my first post! I have lots of things I plan to write about and hope you will enjoy reading what I am up to. I am still ‘tweaking’ bits and pieces and can’t get everything perfect just yet, but I am happy to go live! Please let me know if you find that something isn’t working for you. I wasn’t really sure what to write about for my first post. I guess it doesn’t really matter, so the first one is short and sweet! It was something that happened last week.

A moment in time

Whilst driving home in my car from the city last week, I experienced an amazing feeling. I had stopped at the lights on the corner of Flinders and Elizabeth Sts, Melbourne. It was peak hour and a swarm of people were hurrying to catch their train home. I was listening to Yanni (whom I have recently discovered and just love) and as the lights changed and the swarm crossed the road, there was 30 seconds when I was all alone in my world. There was a strange sense of separation, a peace that was so wonderful that I wanted it to last forever. As I watched hundreds of people, all with their own lives, I felt small yet significant at the same time. I was in control and without worry. It was a unique experience. Then the lights changed and the bubble surrounding me burst. I couldn’t stop thinking about it for days.

Has anyone ever had this feeling before (whilst sober!)?

    I know that exact feeling.
Strangely enough I have been getting a lot of those feelings of late.
I think that this is due to me trying to slow down and not rush everywhere and not worry about the little things.
I just take in the day and look around and it is amazing what you will see.
Sometimes I will just get a shiver that takes over my whole body and it feels amazing. Just this rush. Often it is when listening to music also, but nothing in particular, just certain lyrics that apply to me at the time. I will try and take notice and see if there is a common theme in the lyrics :) enjoying your blog though :)
